I am entering the Basque Country now. The hostel in the town's center is closed, I sleep at the house of the mayor and his wife. Francois, the french guy I met in Sauvelade, is here also. We have a great dinner together with the Basque couple, we learn a lot about what you have to do as the mayor of a village with 245 inhabitants.
The next day, I am going to Ostabat-Asme, a town with a long tradition in hosting pilgrims, going back into the Middle Ages. It is a cloudy and windy day, I have to walk more than 20km, the Basque Country seems to be in a bad mood; soon, mine is not much better.
